My work is concerned with natural objects and describing their intimate space. Natural debris collected from streets, forests and beaches serve as models; these paintings and drawings attempt to record how fine they are. Abstract relationships form as the objects are placed next to each other and shapes, texture and colors interact. The slow process of observing and rendering gives a sense of inner calm which I hope to pass on through the work.
